George Soros starts a blog

George Soros, the billionaire investor and philanthopist, started a blog on 30 September.

In his introductory post, he says: “I have started this website and this blog to hear from you. I am eager to engage in a critical discussion about this [US presidential] election because the stakes are so high, and I welcome your opinions here and on your own blogs. I am looking forward to responding to the many comments that I have already received in the days ahead. Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you.”

His blog doesn’t include three of the key attributes of successful blogs – no direct commenting (comments go to someone for review first), no RSS webfeed and no trackback capability. Nevertheless, it’s a great addition to the world of executive/leadership blogging by a controversial business and political thinker and influencer.

  1. My note my be far from what your expecting. I found this website by quering “philanthopist”. My name is Taurra Pate and my husband name is Scott Pate, we have 2 children, 4 and 13 yr old girls. We live in Brooklyn, N.Y. and we are of the working class, however we’ve been in such for financial assistance through grants or small business grants, for we do not quailfy for anything. Im willing to elaborate on our situation if considered for any type of assistance. Assistance to alleviate the dept that is taking tool on our family.
