Blogger pressure forces change at PRSA

In a remarkable about-turn, blogging will now be included as a workshop at the forthcoming conference of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in New York, which starts on 23 October.

B.L. Ochman’s continuing pressure, supported by other bloggers including me, has convinced the PRSA to change its stance and agree to include a workshop on blogging. The workshop will be led by the newly-formed International Association of Online Communicators (IAOC).

Read B.L.’s post from yesterday, Bloggers Convince PRSA to Add Blogging Workshop to PRSA 2004 Conference, for details. And rather than repeat the whole story here of the past week’s events, you can go to this post and its links to read about it.
