Arrived in Newcastle early evening yesterday for the “Delivering The New PR 2.0” conference which takes place today.
This is the first of the second series of conferences organized by the University of Sunderland. I’m joining the seasoned team of Philip Young, Chris Rushton, Tom Murphy, Stuart Bruce and Simon Rogers to talk about the future of PR in a social media and virtual world. Simon joins instead of Elizabeth Albrycht who’s a recent new mum.
No live blogging but I expect to Twitter a bit from my mobile phone now that Stuart told me the correct UK number to post tweets to.
More later.

Neville, I thought you were great today – two really good sessions that must have prompted a lot of people to do some serious thinking. A few months ago when you spoke in London about Second Life there were quite a lot of quizzical faces but this time there was a real eagerness to learn. We knew this already but four months is a long time in social media but as you proved in Ghent for EuroBlog and in Newcastle for Delivering the New PR the journey is a lot easier when explained by a shrewd, intelligent and effective communicator with his finger on the pulse. Thanks.
Thanks Philip. It was a great day. Everyone I spoke to said they got a lot of value from listening to what everyone had to say.
I did a short podcast as you know. Hope to have that posted by the weekend.
