Tomorrow, May 5, European search engine and news portal Wikio will be publishing the latest monthly ranking of the top 100 technology blogs in the UK.

I have the usual sneak peek ahead of publication at the top 20 from the full list of the top 100 tech blogs.

Here are the top 20 for May 2011. Positions relative to last month are shown in parentheses:

  1. TechCrunch Europe (=)
  2. Geeky Gadgets (=)
  3. Electricpig.co.uk (=)
  4. Speckyboy (=)
  5. Thoughts from the Sidelines (=)
  6. Econsultancy blog (=)
  7. dot.Rory (+5)
  8. Design Shack Blog (+3)
  9. Coolest Gadgets (-1)
  10. markboulton.co.uk (-3)
  11. All About Symbian (-1)
  12. TechRadar (-3)
  13. eWEEKeurope (+2)
  14. Tech Blog (+1)
  15. malcolm coles (+2)
  16. Gadget Venue dot com (=)
  17. Coding Horror (+19)
  18. The Red Ferret Journal (=)
  19. Gaj-It.com – UK Gadget News (-5)
  20. Blog.Spoon Graphics (-1)

No changes in the top six places with TechCrunch Europe holding its position as the leading technology blog in the UK, if not all of Europe – a commanding position it’s held all year. The biggest jumper is Coding Horror, which leapt up 19 places compared to last month.

Check Wikio’s ranking methodology for details on how they arrive at the ranking each month. And, if you want to suggest others blogs for inclusion in Wikio’s tech list that aren’t there already, either let me know or apply on the Wikio website.
