The BBC has just released its trail and titles sequence for the Olympic Games. Watch the 60 seconds film which transforms the landscape of the United Kingdom into a giant sporting arena and features a BMX rider preparing at the edge of a cliff, track cyclists racing around quarries and sprinters and gymnasts going through their paces on streets:

    Yeah, I saw this last night. They screened it towards the end of the EURO 2012 final coverage. So I'd say, not so much 'building excitement' as trying to maintain the sports 'high' that everyone is on.

    Not so much "Uncanny Valley" as "mildly unsettling dell"?  Something about the animation there felt wrong, somehow.
