That’s one way of looking at a Christmas wish, I suppose. As we approach the end of a troubled year, staring recession in the face, it is worth keeping in mind that this Christmas won’t be one of cheer and hope for some people.

For others, let’s keep our cynicism shiny and polished as Santa Claus would wish!

These messages come courtesy of Someecards.com, an e-greetings site I encountered a few months ago, which is so spot on in its contemporary humour.

I don’t plan on posting here again before the weekend. I do plan on twittering now and again over the Christmas break, so if you fancy following that lifestream, please do. Join in the conversation if you feel inclined to.

With best wishes to everyone for a cheerful Christmas!

    Just reading your post, Ellee.

I'm sure we'll meet up soon in the New Year, no doubt at one of those social media events in London. Meanwhile there is Twitter! Have a great Christmas.

Hi Neville, Happy Christmas to you and your family. My last post echoed similar sentiments. It's going to be a very tough Christmas for thousands of families. Hope to see you again next year at a blogging event. I like to keep up to date with twittering too while I take a blogging break.
