So the house move is done and we’re now nicely ensconced in our new place, in the same Wokingham neighbourhood about a quarter mile from our old place. We did the move ourselves rather than hire professional movers. That saved me at least £1,100 (so a powerful incentive). Was it worth it? Full story: Moving days
This is how someone in France did their house move. Wish it was that simple – just take the complete house with you. We’re moving today and tomorrow. And as we’re doing the move ourselves, probably during Friday as well. So largely offline until the weekend. I will be paying attention to contacts in the meantime, though, especially if you follow my guidance on preferred methods. :)
