Full story: EuroBlog 2007 survey
Last year’s EuroBlog 2006 survey gave an overview of who in the communication profession in Europe is using blogs and for what purpose. The most interesting result to me was how survey respondents saw the opportunities for and from blogs, with the top result showing PR agencies as wanting to “be cool” through their being seen to adopt leading-edge technology. SFGate.com posted a list of the top 10 lies of Web 2.0 which geeky types in particular will find amusing (well, I did). My two favourites: This is not a bubble. Hot parties, overheated PR pitches, and five or six dozen social networking sites are just healthy indicators of a new boom. We’re different from all those other sites.
